As a trusted care provider, our services are regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission) the CIW (Care inspectorate Wales) and OFSTED (The Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) to ensure the care we provide is safe, effective and adheres to all regulatory standards. The CQC, CIW and OFSTED are independent bodies which carry out regular inspections to assess the standards of quality and safety of our care services.
Being regulated means that we as a company need to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures to ensure we provide good quality care. Additionally, we have a Quality & Compliance department which oversees all regulatory administration, policies and procedures, health and safety and in-house auditing as well as ensuring staff recruitment meets all regulatory guidelines.
We have a robust in-house auditing process that ensures we are continuously improving in everything we do. Every Alcedo location has an internal onsite quality audit every 12 weeks which looks at all aspects of the service. We also know that quality starts with hiring the best people, that’s why we recruit and retain the best people for the job, we support our staff to attain qualifications and moving along their career pathway.
