What is a Care Coordinator?
As a Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring we have the right care workers to provide care to our clients. This is largely an office-based role, and you will need great communication, organisation and customer service skills to support both our clients and colleagues.
What does a Care Coordinator do?
As a Care Coordinator, you’ll be primarily based in your local branch office. You’ll be working closely with your branch’s Registered Manager and Field Care Supervisors to make sure care visits are running smoothly, runs are covered and the branch has the staff it needs.
Your role will involve allocating care workers to our clients, working with our staff’s availability, level of experience and specialist skills, aligning them to our client’s needs.
You’ll work with colleagues to ensure that our existing care staff have received the training that they need in order to carry out their care duties safely, and that our recruitment team know if we need to take on any new care workers to meet the needs of our clients.
What qualifications do you need to be a Care Coordinator?
We try to promote internally where possible – you’ll have proven yourself as a Care Ambassador and Field Care Supervisor with excellent customer service skills, organisation and communication. You’ll often be the first point of contact for our clients once they’re receiving care from Alcedo Care, so you’ll need a great phone manner and good personal skills. Working as part of a team will be fundamental to the success of this role.
