Are you an experienced Care Assistant looking for the security of a guaranteed 36-hour contract and the opportunity to develop specialist clinical skills in complex care?

Alcedo Care is recruiting a Complex Care Assistant to support one client in their own home in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. This is a dedicated contracted position providing 2:1 support for a client who requires seizure monitoring, rescue medication, nebuliser support, PEG feeding, moving and handling, and assistance with daily living activities, including accessing the community.

With guaranteed contracted hours, this role offers reliable income, consistency and the opportunity to become part of a dedicated care team providing high-quality, personalised support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing person-centred complex care within the client's home

• Monitoring for seizures and administering rescue medication when required

• Supporting PEG feeding, nutrition and hydration requirements

• Providing nebuliser support and monitoring respiratory needs

• Supporting with moving and handling and mobility assistance

• Providing medication support and clinical observations

• Supporting with personal care and daily living activities

• Supporting the client to access the community

• Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing at all times

Working as part of a dedicated care team, you'll help build a consistent and trusting relationship with the client and their family while supporting them to live safely and comfortably at home.

Full Specialist Training Provided

You will receive comprehensive nurse-led training, competency sign-off and ongoing support from our in-house Registered Nurses and clinical team.

• PEG feeding and nutrition support

• Epilepsy and rescue medication

• Respiratory monitoring and escalation

• Medication management

• Complex moving and handling

• Clinical observations and escalation

• Communication support for individuals with complex needs

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 6 months' hands-on care experience in a UK care setting or experience supporting a family member

• Confidence supporting individuals with complex care needs

• Previous tracheostomy or ventilator experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
