Vic Roberts Promoted to Group Head of Complex Care and Head of Nursing at Alcedo Care
Alcedo Care is pleased to announce that Vic Roberts, who has been serving as our Head of Nursing, has now stepped into an expanded dual leadership role as Group Head of Complex Care and Head of Nursing.
Vic has been a key part of the complex team for more than four years, bringing extensive clinical knowledge, leadership and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care. With more than 12 years of nursing experience across cardiothoracic nursing and complex care services, she brings a wealth of expertise to the role.
Earlier in her career, Vic worked in specialist cardiothoracic nursing, caring for patients undergoing major cardiac and thoracic procedures, including coronary artery bypass graft surgery, valve replacements and complex thoracic operations. This experience provided her with advanced clinical skills in monitoring patients during critical stages of recovery, recognising deterioration and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.
An impressive career path
As her career progressed into senior nursing leadership roles, Vic developed strong experience in team coordination, mentoring and clinical management. Her focus has always been on maintaining high standards of care while supporting nurses to develop their skills and confidence in demanding clinical environments.
In her expanded role at Alcedo Care, Vic will continue to lead the nursing function while also overseeing the strategic development, clinical governance and quality assurance of Alcedo’s growing complex care services. She will work closely with teams across the business to ensure clients with highly complex health needs receive safe, coordinated and compassionate care.

My clinical background in cardiothoracic nursing gave me valuable experience caring for patients with highly complex needs and working as part of multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Those experiences shaped my passion for strong clinical leadership and safe, effective care delivery. It’s also perfect experience for a role where no two days are the same!
My focus will remain on ensuring we continue to build strong, confident nursing teams while maintaining the highest standards of clinical governance, safety and quality. I’m passionate about supporting our nurses to grow in their roles, develop their skills and feel empowered to deliver exceptional care every day.
