We’re delighted to share that Alcedo Care has been named Employer of the Year at the inaugural Southport Business Awards, held on Friday 21st August in the Ladies Day Marquee at the Southport Flower Show.
It’s another fantastic addition to our growing collection of awards, but this one feels particularly special.
A special win in our hometown
Southport has always been at the heart of Alcedo Care. It was one of our very first locations when we began our journey in 2017 and remains the home of our head office today. Many of the people who have helped shape and grow Alcedo Care are based here, so to be recognised as an outstanding local employer in our hometown means a great deal to us.

Since those early days, Alcedo Care has grown significantly, expanding our services and welcoming more talented people into the Alcedo family. Throughout that growth, we’ve remained committed to creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported and able to develop rewarding, long-term careers in care.
The Employer of the Year category recognises companies excelling in employee welfare, training and workplace culture – all areas that are incredibly important to us and have always been central to our family-run ethos.
