Alcedo Care Group recently attended the prestigious Princess Royal Training Awards Ceremony where our Directors, Andy and Jo Boardman, and Group Head of Training, Learning and Development, Irene Russell, officially received the Princess Royal Training Award. The event was a memorable occasion, held in the historical setting of Goldsmith’s Hall, with the presentation of awards followed by refreshments and opportunities for networking with the other 51 recipients.
Back in August, Alcedo Care was recognised by the Princess Royal Training Awards for the provision of impressive and impactful complex care training and was one of only 52 (from 600 companies that initially registered their interest) to have met the standards required, alongside auspicious organisations such as IBM, Bentley Motor Group, NHS and more. The full list of recipients can be found here.
Andy Boardman, Managing Director of Alcedo Care Group, had the privilege of meeting HRH The Princess Royal and personally receiving the award. “It was an absolute honour to meet Princess Anne in person and to officially receive the Princess Royal Training Award from her.”, he said. “The event was truly inspiring and it was a privilege to be recognised alongside other outstanding organisations. The setting and the opportunity to share experience with other award recipients made the afternoon even more special.”
Jo Boardman, Finance Director of Alcedo Care Group, had the honour to personally speak with HRH The Princess Royal after the official awarding ceremony. “The thrill of speaking with HRH and receiving royal recognition is a feeling that will stay with us forever. It was a really special day.”
Irene Russell, Group Head of Training, Learning and Development, who also attended the ceremony, said: “To be here and to be recognised for our complex training is great recognition of the hard work and passion we put into our training programme, ensuring that our clients receive, truly, the best possible quality of home care; to feel safe and comfortable at their own homes. Meeting Princess Anne was a profound experience. Our aim at Alcedo Care is to continue reaching new heights with our in-house training and I am looking forward to that.”
The Princess Royal Training Awards recognise organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to workplace learning and development. Alcedo Care Group’s innovative training programs have made a significant impact on the quality of care provided to their clients.
