A team of Alcedo Care staff are going getting their walking shoes on (plus a variety of glow in dark accessories!) on in preparation for Alzheimer’s Society’s GLOW walk. We’ll be shining a light on dementia and Alzheimer’s and helping to fund the amazing work of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Alzheimer’s Society is a UK charity aiming to transform the landscape of dementia forever. By 2025, 1 million people will be living with the condition in the UK, and many millions more carers, partners, families and friends are affected. Until the day a cure is found, the Alzheimer’s Society aim to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

What is Glow?

Glow is an upbeat, lively sponsored night walk suitable for all ages and abilities. You’ll enjoy a fun, party atmosphere as everyone comes together for an amazing shared experience. Expect music, dancing, singing – and even a bit of walking!

Can I be involved?

Of course! We’re taking part in Glow Liverpool, which is taking place at 11 March 2023 – the arrival time is 7pm with the walk starting at 8pm. Simply register via the Alzheimer’s Society website, and when you’re asked to create or search for a team, select Alcedo Care! Once you’ve signed up, pop marketing@alcedocare.co.uk an email to let us know you’re joining the team!
