We are both sad and excited to announce that Alcedo Home Carer, Tricia Sammy Rose is leaving Alcedo Care Blackpool today and heading for the bright lights of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she will be starring in a new US television drama series.
Tricia, who for the past year has been looking after Alcedo Home Care clients across Blackpool and the Fylde, was born in Zambia and performed on local stages from a young age. Impressively, she appeared in her first television advert on Zambian Television at just 12 years old. After moving to Blackpool in 1997 Tricia continued her acting career, studying Musical Theatre at Blackpool and Fylde College and appearing in numerous theatre and television productions.
Critical Acclaim
Tricia recently received critical acclaim for her role in the Vertigo Theatre Company production of Fake News, with theatre review website, North West End commenting “All actors were phenomenal but a special mention must go to Tricia Sammy Rose… She had wonderful comedic timing, and portrayed a completely over the top, fitness obsessed New Yorker who hilariously died her hair blond when it was pointed out to her that the serial killer on the loose only killed brunettes… This is fringe theatre at its best…”
Repercussions
Continuing the American theme, Tricia’s new US TV series, “Repercussions” is a drama about a group of eight friends whose relationships are strengthened through tragedy, but whose lives are changed forever following an unexpected series of events. As a result, Tricia’s character “Amirah”, a feisty English woman, is pushed to the edge.
Contracted to feature in the Repercussions TV series for the next three years, Tricia will be returning home to Blackpool between shoots to spend some quality time with her grown up children. And the acting talent runs in the family too, as Tricia’s daughter Josie Rose is appearing in the forthcoming production of Chicago at the Blackpool Opera House, which opens on April 4th.
