How Alcedo Care is supporting you during the Pandemic and being ‘ COVID-secure’?
COVID-19
Since March 2020 our wonderful world as we know it due to the Corona Virus Pandemic – COVID-19 has altered the way we live on a daily basis and it has affected each of us in a different way, changing our lives forever either negatively or in a more positive way. However, we can all still help control the virus by staying alert and being ‘COVID’ secure. This means following the current government guidelines.

Alcedo Care Social Support: Back into the Community
As lockdown starts to ease, Alcedo Homecarers are helping their clients increase their social integration, gradually and safely introducing them back to their established routines.
Many personal care and support functions such as preparing meals, putting together meal plans and prompting clients to take their medication have not changed. However, other functions such as attending doctor’s appointments with clients and helping them to re-engage with their local shops must be approached sensitively, with understanding and with a personal approach for each and every client.

Observing social distancing, wearing face masks and adapting to the new norm is challenging for everyone. It is the job of every Alcedo Care Homecarer to closely work with their clients, offering social support and reassuring those who may feel ill at ease. In this way we can calmly and comfortably increase our clients’ social interaction, improving and enhancing their quality of life while safely introducing them to their new norm.
