Your support for those in greatest need across the borough is recognised and appreciated. On weekly calls the businesses that employ you have spoken highly of the dedication and resilience of staff in the face of a changing and developing understanding of the virus and the risk it presents. Some of you will have suffered the loss of people close to you whether they be family, friend or someone you have cared for. The ability to continue to deliver care in these circumstances says everything about the care workers of St Helens. We have got this far by working together across the care sector and no doubt will overcome future challenges by continuing to work together in the same way. We are all aware that this pandemic is not over yet but feel strongly that as aspects of life begin to open up and the clap for carers becomes a memory that your contribution is not forgotten or overlooked. We trust this letter is accepted as a recognition of the work that you and your colleagues have done, and will continue to do, for the people of St Helens.
