If you or your loved one enjoys their independence but is struggling with everyday activities, companionship care is the solution.
Companionship will help to improve wellbeing, social inclusion and help prevent loneliness. This can be particularly important if a person is recently bereaved and finding it difficult to adjust or coming to terms with a long-term illness. It can also be a vital support for individuals whose family have moved away and who require just that little bit of extra support in the home.
Companionship is not only for people suffering with an illness, it is there to help you. So Alcedo Care believes everybody should have access to companionship.

Alcedo Care Blackpool also offers a broader range of companionship, whether that be a listening ear over a coffee, a walk to the shops, or someone to share a leisure activity with. We will also arrange to accompany you to health appointments or activities in the community, lending support and helping to arrange transport.
Physical & Cognitive Health
Alcedo companionship support provides the healthy interactions and activities that promote physical and cognitive health and wellbeing, through avoiding isolation, helping to maintain social skills, engaging in stimulating interactions and encouraging reminiscing, for example by reading or helping to collate a memory book. Our companionship therefore promotes physical as well as mental wellness.
