Katie - Operations Manager

Hi, I’m Katie McKenzie, the Operations Manager for Alcedo Care in Carlisle and Workington. My role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of our home care service, ensuring we deliver high-quality, person-centred care while meeting all legal and regulatory requirements in line with the CQC.

I have been working in the care sector since I was 18, gaining experience across a wide range of care settings – from residential and domiciliary care to specialised support services. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver truly person-centred care and I am passionate about empowering both our staff and clients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Making a meaningful, positive difference in people’s lives is at the heart of everything I do and I am committed to continually improving the way home care is delivered.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two children who keep me busy! I also enjoy walks in the Lakes with friends and exploring the beautiful local area.
