Jo– Group Head of HR

My name is Jo McIntyre, I am the Group Head of HR for Alcedo Care. I have a passion for nurturing talent and encouraging growth.  My role in a nutshell is to develop and shape the human resources and people strategy within the group, collaborating closely with the management team to provide invaluable coaching and guidance on all things related to our incredible team of people.

I bring a wealth of experience from diverse sectors, including independent fostering agencies, elderly home care, aerospace, and retail, my 28-year journey in HR has equipped me with a unique perspective and a keen eye for talent. My transition to Alcedo Care Group marks an exciting chapter where I aim to leverage my expertise to fuel our ambitious growth plans for the future.

I hold a CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management and have over two decades of hands-on experience in the field. My dedication to continuous learning and development ensures that our people remain at the forefront of what matters most in our business and contribute to our ongoing success.

Outside of work, I’m happily married and proud mum of two teenage sons. Our family is completed by our beloved furry companion – a 7-year-old Staffie called Bailey. I live on the Wirral close to New Brighton promenade and I’m fortunate enough to be able to enjoy seaside strolls daily. When not working, I enjoy going on holiday with family and friends, especially adrenaline-fueled ski trips to France, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym as often as I can.
